Did some hot cross buns before church on Maundy Thursday. )

Don’t they just look yummy? hehe!

The messy kitchen table

Waiting for the dough to rise

See those perfectly round buns? Of course those are not rolled by me! hehe… Mum helped out to roll them… those that were rolled by me are the weird shaped ones!

Yummy, ready to eat!

Taiwan Trip 2007 (2)
10.11.07

Sun Moon Lake, one of the most popular tourist location in Taiwan. The water was very calm and peaceful.

They brought us to a DIY Baking class to make the famous Sun Cake (Tai Yang Bing)

in Taichung. An enriching experience for us – and for them shop – all of us brought boxes and boxes back home.

It started to pour heavily when we reached Taipei. Sadly the view from Taipei 101 was poor due to the low viability….

That’s me… lol… low viability from 101 and some lousy photography by my mum… :p

The changing of guards at Marty’s Shrine

Hehe… women…

Sunset at Fisherman Wharf

There was some much to EAT and BUY at Shihlin Night Market that I too busy to take any photos. See this Fried Oyster Store? Apparently, this was where Show Luo learn how to fried oysters for Corner With Love (the show in which also starred Barbie).

Sun Yat Sen, the father of modern China.

Ximending = Shopping !!!

Typhoon Krosa was hot on our heels during our last few days in Taiwan…

All good things got to come to an end… Bye bye to Taiwan… hope to see you soon! )

Taiwan Trip 2007 (1)
10.10.07

Was suppose to go to UK & Paris for summer vacation this year, but alas things didn’t work out between us.

Had to settle for something nearby and something cheaper.

Thus I headed for a short vacation to Taiwan together with my family. )

Things got off to the wrong footing when my plane was delayed for 5 hours.

Mum made a big noise with the tour agency but alas couldn’t get a claim from the insurance because the delay must be more than 6hours before one can claim from the insurance company. :p

Because it was a late night flight.

It was about 12mn the next day when we settled into the hotel.

Thank goodness the room was rather comfy! zzzzzzz

Rise and shine! This what they served for breakfast… yucky taiwanese porridge!

First stop… this is at Lotus Lake in Zuoying is surrounded by many temples…

Dream Mall

After a 3+hour drive from Kaohsiung heading south to Kenting, we arrived at the Eluanbi Lighthouse

It got really windy by the time we reached Maopitou. Almost got blown away by the wind! :p

From Kenting, we headed northwards to Tainan.

During the day, we went for a hot spring bath at Guantzeling. It is a black mud hot spring, it is one of the three of such hot springs in the world (the other two can be found in Italy and NZ). It was very refreshing and relaxing. Wish we spent more time there.

The highlight of the day was definitely the Tainan Local cuisine we were brought to eat! Yummy yummy! :+)

Yam cake

Shrimp Roll

Fried Oysters

And my favourite Guan Cai Ban…

to be continued…
